Almost Spring SEO Theme
Your themes are great. When will the new almost spring Adsense theme be out? Why should I have to spend all weekend coding my theme when you do it for me :) I do not mind paying for quality.

AdSense Alternate Ads
cool. I’ve been using your adsense theme for quite awhile. Just have a question. What if I want to include alternate ads in my google adsense ads (to replace those irritating PSA).
Any idea if i can integrate them into the existing adsense wordpress template?

Alternate Ads to AdSense
Good Question Justin :-)
Not used alternate ads to AdSense be honest (I really should as well), but shouldn’t be a problem adding them.
What you’ll have to do is find all the ad units you want alternate ads to be shown for and add some code, assuming you want it for every AdSense ad shown this will be real easy.
I use a text editor called Crimson Editor (it’s free, search for it on Google) which has a search files for text strings function (many text editors have this ability). What I would do is search the folder that holds one of my themes for this text-
google_ad_width (or any text found in an ad unit)
This will find every theme page that has an AdSense ad placed within it and the readme.txt file.
Open the files one at a time and paste this-
Into the code so it looks something like this-
Obviously you want to use your alt ad URL, not the URL above.
In the version 02 AdSense themes that are free from this site there’s quite a lot of copies of the Google AdSense ad units code (can be over a dozen) so you’ll need to do this with several template pages.
Good news is you could theoretically choose a different alternative ad URL for each ad, with the code used in version 03 (AdSense themes from for a fee) this isn’t possible.
I like the idea of alt ads, so will see into adding this as an option for the version 03 themes, shouldn’t be too difficult.
Thanks for the feedback.

Hey Dave,
Thanks for sharing your AdSense converted WordPress theme(s), which I think looks pretty sweet ;)
Keep it up!

WP SEO Theme
SEO-Dave, Your WordPress themes with AdSense and SEO are brilliant. I have been using you Almost Spring template and the result has been more traffic and more clicks.
I have two questions:
1) I have had a on and off love affair with social bookmark plugins. Do you think these are worth having on a blog for SEO purposes?
2) I am going to take a break from Adsense. Is there an easy way to use your Almost Spring with Targeted AdSense template for SEO, but turn off Adsense (and keep it looking nice)? that is keep the SEO aspect of Almost Spring, but not the Adsense?

Remove AdSense From a WordPress Blog
Glad your finding the theme helpful.
Easy to turn the ads off by editing your adsense.php file.
Find-
Change to
Save and upload and Google ads will no longer be there.
That leaves one minor problem that’s either ignorable or removable.
After doing this the Adverts section on the menu will still be there, though no AdSense ad will be under it (little irritating).
To remove this menu item load sidebar.php into a text editor and delete or better yet comment out the code responsible. Made it easy to comment out :-)
Find:
Change to
Save and upload and that section will vanish.
If you use widgets also load functions.php in a text editor and repeat the changes for that file.
Actually if you use widgets forget editing those files just remove the widget from your sidebar through the widgets options.

WordPress AdSense Themes Review
I have just bought this template to help me with WordPress blog and find it excellent. I struggled initially to get things up and running and had to email SEO-Dave. Dave was extremely helpful, replying quickly to emails and walking me through the setup process, even helping me customise things on the site.
I would recommend using any of these templates – money well spent!

WordPress Sub Pages Not Working
Dave, I am using wordpress 2.6 with Almost spring targeted adsense and SEO 03 (I think this is your latest version) – after I updated to wordpress 2.6 I do not see my ‘subpages’ only my ‘parent pages’. ( ).
When I change themes to the wordpress default it works but with your theme (which I think yours adsense themes are the best on the market, and I recommend your themes to all) I only see the parent pages. Do you know what I should do? and thank you for such effective SEOed themes.
