WOW Gold Guide I wrote this Valkor gold guide review (below) in 2007, since then Valkors WOW Gold Guide is no longer available, so recommend the newer Dugi gold guide, see my Dugi Gold Academy for World of Warcraft Review.

Valkors World of Warcraft Gold Guide Review

I have to admit as a World of Warcraft player with my first level 70 character I was very skeptical about WOW gold guide ebooks in general, I’m an intelligent player, I shouldn’t need a guide to make gold while playing the world of Warcraft.

I have the professions herbalism and alchemy (picked at level 70 mainly for mana pots for raiding Kara and beyond) and think I’m doing quite well at making gold, before buying the ebook I had just over 1,500 WOW gold, but haven’t upgraded to the very fast flying mount yet (which costs over 5,000 gold) so needed some help as I felt like I’d stalled (no longer leveling so not constantly killing mobs for quests).

I’ve had the Valkors gold guide ebook almost a week and haven’t really had the time to devote to making WOW gold, (raiding Kara ~4 days a week which costs gold in repair bills and mana pots!) yet my gold balance has increased to 2,500 gold. I estimate I’m making about 75 gold an hour using the gold farming tips in the Valkors WOW ebook and I’m pretty sure I’ll increase that to 100 gold an hour when I learn the best tips and tricks from the ebook (I’ve barely scratched the surface).

Limited Success Making Gold Before the WOW Gold Guide

I’ve sold two epic items (from drops) for around 250g in total and have so many items stored for sale/future use I’ve got four bank/auction warehouse alts each stocked with at least 14 slot bags and at least 2 extra bank bag slots :-)

I’ve made most of my gold whilst leveling my World of Warcraft main character crafting leather items and selling them on the AH and occasionally taking advantage of a good market for selling stacks of leather, this was pre level 70 when I had skinning and leather working.

At one point was getting a nice 1 gold and 25 silver for a 20 stack of heavy leather, but the market on the Hellfire realm has been inundated with bots selling heavy leather (all leather) for as low as 45 silver a stack so no longer a good market!

When I hit level 70 and started raiding Kara I found I stopped skinning mobs and really needed mana pots that are selling for a stack of 5 between 15 gold and 20 gold each in the AH. So switched to herbalism and alchemy and have been farming herbs to make various pots (health and mana mostly), though most of my mana pots are used by me in Kara (so not making much gold from them since Kara is mana pot intensive for casters).

I also tried selling the first aid books with some success, but it looks like lots of people do this bringing the profits right down so no longer do that.

So I was doing OK making WOW gold, but after trying a little of the Valkors World of Warcraft gold ebook tips I’m doing a LOT better and so will be able to afford my fast flying mount :-)

Making Gold the Easy Way, the Valkor Way

OK it’s not easy to make gold even with a great guide like this, but I like the header above :-)

I’ve not read the entire Valkors gold guide yet, mainly because it’s huge, but what I’ve read is very, very good information.

For example I now know a spot where there are level 62-63 mobs with about 3,000 health (low for this level of mob, so very easy to kill) and they have a high drop rate for motes of water which are always in high demand and these mobs respawn quickly (perfect gold farming area). I estimate you could make at 90 to 100 gold an hour their from selling the vendor trash, the greens (which are quite frequent) and the motes of water in the AH. I got two blues in one trip that together made 80 gold (could have made more, but would have meant multiple listings) in the AH, so that one 45 minute trip made me about 160 gold (best run yet).

The WOW gold guides filled with spots like this and so far I’ve found about 75% (tried about 15 spots) are very good gold creating areas. The majority of the 25% that aren’t good have been because the market on the Hellfire realm has been swamped (with bots, spit) who really ruin it for us real World of Warcraft players looking to make lots of gold.

I haven’t tried the AH gold making tips yet, so no idea how good they are, but suspect I’ll find a similar rate of success.

So your going to have try the areas/tips listed and see how it works on your realm (some will, some won’t). With over 100 pages of tips your sure to find a set that works for you.

Good luck making gold and if you are on the Hellfire realm DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT buy this WOW ebook (my gold, mine, all mine :-))

Update: Been using the gold guide for over months now and regularly make over 150 gold an hour, the tips are excellent. The writer has also updated the guide to include content from the latest patched (2.4 as I write this) so he’s constantly updating the gold guide with new tips which is a must because the World of the World of Warcraft is always changing.
