WordPress Languages
WordPress 4 includes a cool new feature for selecting a language during installation allowing much easier WordPress localization.
Pre WP 4 to achieve the same localisation you would have to download and install WordPress in your language: was harder to setup localization before WP 4.
In WordPress 4.0 there are 40 languages currently localized by default. Using this new WP feature with the Stallion Responsive language translation feature you can fully localize WordPress in minutes.
Google PageSpeed Insights Size Tap Targets
Been working on fixing Google PageSpeed Insights Size Tap Targets Appropriately warnings for this website and the WordPress theme I develop (Stallion Responsive: which is running on this site). Version 8.0 of Stallion Responsive was released (February 2014) before Google added Size Tap Targets Appropriately warnings in May 2014 (weird name for the warnings, “Appropriately”!) to it’s PageSpeed Insights Tool output: part of the new Mobile User Experience results. Size Tap Targets Appropriately When Google added those new pagespeed metrics for mobile devices my PageSpeed Insights scores for mobile user experience dropped in May: looks like they’ve completely changed the rating system, I was getting 90/100 before the changes, after May was significantly lower. It’s taken two days and a […]

WordPress Theme Reviews
There are many WordPress Themes that are advertised as SEO friendly or SEO optimized, but very few actually are search engine optimized themes. I’ve spent almost a decade working with WordPress and almost as long developing WordPress SEO themes. To date (June 2014) I haven’t reviewed a WordPress theme (not developed by yours truly :-)) that was search engine optimized anywhere near the standard of my SEO themes. I’ve been that confident in my WP themes I’ve offered up to $5,000 for the first person who finds a WordPress theme that offers all the SEO features of the themes I develop plus one more SEO feature. No one has come close to claiming a cash prize. So you think a […]

WordPress SEO Developer : David Law – SEO Dave
My name is David Law, AKA SEO Dave :-) and the developer of the WordPress Themes and WordPress Plugins on this website. I cut my teeth on SEO in the early 2000’s when I started my first online business selling sex toys and sexy lingerie, had a website with around 2,000 adult products and no money to promote through AdWords or other advertising means. Hadn’t heard of search engine optimization and at first ran on the belief if I built a website, they (visitors) will come: you quickly learn website visitors don’t work that way :-) Quickly learnt search engine optimization and in my first full year trading had earnt over £80,000 from selling adult products. Over a decade later […]
