The Business Success Goals article was updated April 2014. Read a blog post titled If You’re Reading This Blog Post… You Could Get $100,000 Worth of Coaching and Products From Me. Basically you answer three questions to win some business coaching and products from Rich Schefren, the blog contest ended years ago. Inspired me to write a post as it hit home to a problem I’ve been having for going on two decades that’s held me back in reaching my full business potential! What is Stopping Your Business Success? The blog contest asked these three questions, which have the potential to shed light on what’s holding you back from business success: 1. Do you know what your single greatest constraint […]
Earlier this month (August 2010) I noticed on the scrolling news ticker on SKY News that 40 US billionaires have pledged to donate half their wealth to charity upon their death. It’s a lot more billionaires that’s pledged to give to charity as I update this article (2014). And that’s the last I saw of this billionaire charity pledge from either SKY News (which I rarely watch) or BBC News (that I watch at least a couple of hours a day). It’s been over 3 years since I wrote this article and I haven’t seen this mentioned again on the news, yet as of December 2013 there’s apparently over 125 billionaires who have joined “The Giving Pledge”. No idea if […]
Who wants to be a millionaire? Who doesn’t! Since I’m from the UK technically I should be working in British Pounds Sterling (£), but it’s easier to become a USA millionaire because 1 Million British Pounds (£) does not equal 1 Million United States Dollars ($). £1,000,000 = ~$1,600,000 $1,000,000 = ~£600,000 Basically it’s easier to become a US millionaire than a British millionaire, so for now I’ll target becoming a US millionaire first :-) What is a Millionaire? Your standard measure for being a millionaire is having a networth of one million units of a currency. There will be many reading this who are on quite modest incomes who could truthfully state they are millionaires, even multi-millionaires, just as […]
I read an article regarding living off Job Seekers Allowance (the DOLE) which is apparently £60.50 a week now, was in 2009 when I read the article, now as I update some info (April 2014) it’s £56.80 for 16 to 14 year olds and £71.70 for 25 or over. The comments brought back memories of when we as a family claimed UK benefits due to disability and made me think some people would be better off starting their own business (self employed) rather than being registered as unemployed and claiming job seekers allowance (JSA) or income support: in the UK you claim income support if you haven’t paid enough national insurance contributions. We have a system of working tax credits […]
Million Dollar Business Ideas When Disabled article update April 2014. I watch TV programs like the Apprentice, Dragon’s Den and How to Be a Billionaire and it is quite interesting to see some of the money making ideas that almost anyone with hard work could put into practice. I unfortunately have a disability that prevents me from doing a standard 9-5 type job and so many (most) of the ways I could make a lot of money, make my easy millions are just not an option, see Working with Long Term Disabilities. Making Money Online When Disabled Despite my health issues I work from home and make all my income from online sources. Until recently I was offering SEO services, […]
I wrote this business strategy article in 2010, updated April 2014. As an online business owner I was hit by the global recession, fortunately I was in an online niche business (search engine optimization services: SEO services) where I’d been turning potential business clients away for years. I didn’t run an online business just to make money, I want to enjoy what I do so was very picky with which businesses I took on as SEO clients and I’m very good at what I do, so there’s always been more potential SEO clients than I could cope with. Good Business Plans Change Since writing this I’ve stopped offering SEO services altogether, interesting how business plans can change over 4 years […]
