WordPress SEO Theme Two days before the Stallion Responsive 8.1 price increase, price goes up on the 10th September. Order now at https://stallion-theme.co.uk/stallion-responsive-theme/ at the low price before it’s gone for good.

Created a new Stallion Responsive Tutorial at https://stallion-theme.co.uk/wordpress-theme-creator/ which covers using the Stallion Responsive WordPress Theme Colour Creator Feature.

With this feature (only available with Stallion Responsive) you can create an entire new WordPress theme look or modify any of the 40 built in colour schemes, all colours and fonts are covered (took weeks of work to create this WordPress feature it was a huge project).

In Stallion Responsive 8.1 there are 200 font colour and font size, font type options:

158 font colours can be changed
42 font size, font type… can be changed

Using the CSS creator version (there are two versions, see tutorial) of the feature you can create a new theme look, let’s say you like the White n Blue Rounded Corners colour scheme I use at https://stallion-theme.co.uk/, but want the home link (the big one at the top with anchor text “WordPress SEO Packages”) to have red hoverover anchor text (currently it’s blue when hovering over).

With most WordPress themes you would have to modify a CSS file, with Stallion Responsive it’s set “Colour Scheme CSS File Creator ON” and set “Colour Scheme CSS File Creator Defaults” to use the “White n Blue Rounded” defaults (both options set under “Stallion Theme” >> “Colour Options”. Click “Save Settings”.

Go to “Appearance” >> “Colour Scheme CSS File Creator”

Find the colour option related to the homepage links anchor text, it’s under

“Header Area” : “Head Home Link Anchor Text Hover” – click “Select a Color” and use it to select the new colour followed by the “Save Changes” button.

A new Stallion Responsive colour scheme CSS file has been generated within your child theme folder and Stallion can use it right away.

Go back to “Stallion Theme” >> “Colour Options” and turn the CSS creator feature off by setting “Colour Scheme CSS OFF” and set “Colour Scheme CSS File Creator Defaults” to use the “Use Current”. Click “Save Settings”.

This feature not only creates the CSS file for you removing the need for manually editing CSS files it also creates a backup PHP file (an import/export file) with the settings you used at “Appearance” >> “Colour Scheme CSS File Creator”. This PHP file can be used by others (or you later for further modifications) to use your new colour scheme AND modify it further.

For example if you generated a unique colour scheme you’d like to be part of a future Stallion Responsive update you could email me the PHP file, I can use it to replicate what you did and add it to Stallion Responsive as a default colour scheme you and others can use and modify further.

Understand a little PHP, why not add your new colour scheme to a Stallion Responsive Child Theme, it’s not as hard as you might think.

Note: For those still testing Stallion Responsive in Demo mode this feature works in Demo mode and the settings do NOT reset every ~500 pageviews like the main Stallion options do. You can create a new colour scheme in Demo mode and the files will be saved as described above and at https://stallion-theme.co.uk/wordpress-theme-creator/

BTW Don’t respond to this email, it’s the mailing list email address and it will bounce back to you unread.
